Riedel and Backstage join forces to train the next professionals in the live world
The training center Backstage Academy has the close support of Riedel to train the new generations in the world of live events.
The students of Backstage Academy, which delve into the world of live events through different undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, will use intercom systems Artist y Bolero of Riedel to hone your skills. These equipment, supplied directly by Riedel, are regularly used in the academy facilities located in the Production Park of Yorkshire.
Miles Marsden, director of Backstage Industry Partnership, believes that when training the “professionals of tomorrow” it is important that “the best and most current equipment” be used. "We are proud that our students graduate with cutting-edge knowledge, immediately prepared to meet any industry needs as it returns to pre-pandemic levels. Our close collaboration with Riedel helps make this possible," he highlights.
End of year show
Recently, solutions Riedel were used in the production of the end-of-year show, Live Again. The multi-stage theatrical show, broadcast live, told the story of the live events industry's struggle through the Covid-19 pandemic. Produced in Studio One, the largest studio in Production Park, the ambitious final project put into practice everything the students have learned during the training program.
Gareth Welbourn, technical director of Backstage, confirms that Riedel's products performed at a high level: "We were all surprised by the robust quality of the system, and its ease of use makes teaching super effective. The students love Bolero, and the more functions we present to them, the more their jaws drop. Within half an hour of showing them the system, they are already setting it up and thinking of new possibilities, changing things. It's brilliant."
Finally, Nacho Lee, Riedel's UK sales director, underlines that the company has created “a fruitful partnership” that “will enrich our own educational offering within the Riedel Academy in the future.”
