Pedro Sánchez meets with the Spanish audiovisual and film sector
On the eve of the Goya Awards, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, received this Thursday prominent representatives of the film sector, to whom he conveyed the support and firm commitment of the Executive to the audiovisual and film industry of our country.
Sánchez has had the opportunity to discuss with his interlocutors the good moment that Spanish cinema is experiencing, in terms of spectator figures and box office receipts; also in relation to production or international recognition, and has committed to continue promoting the policies to support the sector that the Executive has been developing since 2018.
They participated in the meeting Fernando Méndez-Leite, president of the Film Academy; the vice presidents of this association, Rafael Portela y Asuncion Sanchez, as well as his manager, Jose Manuel Garcia; the film director, Isabel Coixet; the producers, Jordi Bosch, Pilar Benito, Marisa Fernández, Valérie Delpierra, Cristina Zumárraga y Belen Atienza; the composer, Natasha Arizu; the actress, Janet Novas, and the director of photography, Valentin Alvarez.
