Ushio appoints Takabumi Asahi to head Christie as new CEO
Ushio, Christie's parent company, has appointed Japanese Takabumi Asahi as CEO of Christie Digital Systems succeeding Koji Naito in the position.
Asahi previously served as CEO and CFO of Ushio. Since joining Ushio in 2017 as Deputy CEO, his responsibilities at the company have continued to grow. Before that date he worked for Oki Electric Industry, a Japanese information and communications company, where Asahi gained experience in global business management in a large number of cutting-edge technology fields, such as semiconductors, information and telecommunications technologies, and office automation. Christie's new CEO has a degree in Engineering from Chiba University, Japan.
Asahi brings to his new role thirty years of senior executive experience and a commitment to advancing Ushio's mission of advancing the use of lighting and energy for increase human well-being and the social growth through technology.
