The independent producer Nevision, based in London, is expanding its global reach with the launch of a new office in Barcelona, reinforcing its presence after the opening of its offices in Los Angeles and New York.

Nevision logoNevision is also working together with the sister company Nevis Productions with offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen.

The Nevision office in Barcelona will be directed by writer and producer Tim Parfitt, who will work with the founder of Nevision, James Cabourne. Nevision Films & TV will develop series and scripted films in Spanish for the local and global market.

The new company already has three projects in development, two of which are with the renowned Spanish director and writer Roger Gual (Smoking Room, 7 Años, Remake, Tasting Menu), including one in association with Nevis Productions.

Tim Parfitt joins Nevision after a career as an editor, journalist and producer with experience in international media based in Spain, including positions as CEO of Ediciones Condé Nast and CEO of Prisma Publicaciones (Grupo Planeta). He is the author of the book The Barcelona Connection, also in development with Nevision to adapt it to the screen.

On the other hand, Anni Faurbye Fernández, founder, co-owner and CEO of Nevis Productions, will join Nevision's board of directors effective immediately.

James Cabourne highlights that "having established ourselves in the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as working closely with our sister company in Scandinavia, opening an office in a key territory in continental Europe was the next logical step for Nevision. Spanish-language fiction is respected and viewed around the world and the opportunity to create our own films and series, as well as remake successful international dramas in Spanish, is very exciting. We are also delighted to welcome Anni to the board of directors to help us navigate our continued expansion.”

Parfitt adds that "opportunities for Spanish-language fiction have proliferated over the past 12 months and we are excited about the possibilities for our content both locally and globally. Having the highly respected Roger Gual as our partner on our first two projects is a great achievement and we look forward to working with him as we develop our slate of projects."
