LiveU - IBC 2024

IBC 2024 (September 13 – 16, Amsterdam) will host the celebration of the 18th anniversary of LiveU, which will be accompanied by the launch of a new light sports production solution, among other technological improvements.

LiveU will present at IBC 2024 a series of new “technological advances” that take advantage of the latest advances in remote production and cloud-based services.

This development, in the words of LiveU, opens “new avenues” to bring more sports stories to a broader base of fans, while significantly reducing “time, effort and cost.” In addition, it makes possible the coverage of sporting events that were previously overlooked due to prohibitive costs. In the absence of knowing all the details within the framework of the show, the brand has announced that this pack includes the cloud-based native LRT video production service LiveU Studio, a selection of backpacks and others mobile data products optimized for IP video. Live Studio, in fact, will be updated for IBC 2024 to offer Greater ease of use and intuitive controls, which seeks to allow more and more users to mix a feed with a completely professional finish.

Also within the framework of the broadcast fair, LiveU EcoSystem will continue to evolve with new developments in ground-to-cloud technologies and story-centric workflows for greater efficiency and flexibility. On the other hand, it will be exhibited LiveU Analytics, a new analytics tool that leverages IP video data to improve workflow management.

Steve Wind-Mozley, CMO of LiveU, explains in his own words the company's focus for the event that will bring together the European broadcast industry in just two months: "At the IBC show in September we will focus on profitable light production workflows, which make the creation of specialized content viable on a repeatable scale. We will also show our specific developments for each genre, which represent a hard blow when it comes to improving the final results. (...) The celebration of our 18th anniversary is also an opportunity to look forward.”
