Kansai TV: post-production in the cloud powered by Blackmagic
Blackmagic Cloud and DaVinci Resolve Studio are the key cloud post-production workflow solutions for one of the news formats Kansai TV, Japanese television that broadcasts all types of content for the Kinki region (Japan).
Yoshiyuki Shimizu, editor of Kansai TV, began to evaluate the possibility of using Blackmagic Cloud when looking for an economical solution to post-produce their formats. After analyzing the industry, he ended up choosing this solution “available for less than 800 yen ($5) per month,” and which also allows him to work with the sound during editing, which he considers “a new concept compared to how we worked before.” Likewise, Shimizu celebrates that this system “does not have any restrictions” such as “being in the same office or on the same network to share projects.” “The ability to collaborate remotely, whether being in different buildings or working from home, is an important advantage,” says the editor.
In order to “preview the settings”, your tool noise reduction or your commitment to improvement: "With every update to DaVinci Resolve, the tools we need are constantly being added. As a broadcaster, the optimized interlacing capabilities provide many benefits. Plus, the export speed is getting faster."
