Riedel acquires Austrian stabilizer manufacturer APEX Stabilizations
Riedel will expand its activity with the purchase of the manufacturer of camera stabilization solutions APEX Stabilizations. The Austrian company will become part of the Riedel group, although it will remain an independent company.
Founded in Vienna in 2019, APEX systems are primarily used for shooting from helicopters, cars, boats or cranes for live TV, commercials and film production. As a global player in the international market, Riedel offers APEX the opportunity to use its global sales and service network, obtaining in turn an experienced team and excellent know-how, as well as access to new and promising markets. The partnership will also create synergies in Vienna's development centers, benefiting both partners and customers.
Both companies have many years of experience in the media and entertainment sector. By sharing ideas and technologies, Riedel and APEX aim to improve their products and jointly develop innovative solutions that are uniquely adapted to the specific requirements of this industry.
Thomas Riedel, founder and CEO of the Riedel Group, states that "I firmly believe in the innovative technologies of the Viennese pioneers of APEX. Investments in this type of specialized technology are investments in our future and open up new niches in our core markets. APEX stabilized cameras are already being used in many large-scale productions in which we are involved – and with APEX as part of the Riedel Group, we will be able to create even more complete offerings for our customers."
Thomas Schindler, CEO of APEX Stabilizations, highlights that "whether for live events, film productions or television broadcasts, the solutions of our two companies have become an integral part of the modern media landscape and have often featured together, most recently at the Paris games. By joining forces, we will develop innovative products that will set new standards both in terms of image quality and seamless communication."
