The manufacturer has updated its range of solutions using the latest software architectures and techniques to offer highly configurable systems which are stable in operation, secure against cyber threats, but also simple to implement and affordable.
“That's why we continue to innovate, to bring the right functionality to systems that run efficiently on standard hardware,” explains Sauer. “We push our development teams to adopt the best new technologies, bringing real benefits to our users, including unique capabilities.”
The automated issuance environment Gallium y StreamMaster can now work with the latest versions of Windows o Linux. Take advantage of the latest .NET 6.0 technology to deliver the most cost-effective deployment in the cloud, and a backend PostgreSQL, the world's most advanced open source relational database. This means that broadcasters and service providers can create broadcast automation and distribution systems, from a single channel to hundreds; on-premises, such as a multi-site or hybrid cloud operation; securely controlled from anywhere through a web browser.
Gallium can track legal limits on advertising minutes, providing detailed, graphical indications of the status, helping users ensure compliance with regulators. The highly configurable Gallium software also enables practical operational workflows through tight interoperability. It is compatible with Telestream's DIVA API, for example, to smoothly manage very large libraries. Gallium and StreamMaster also support direct control of the Nevion VideoIPath media orchestration layer.
R&S Prismon
Being fully implemented in software, Prismon provides unprecedented agility and capacity, and is continually updated, for example to support the latest standards NDI, SRT, NMOS and SMPTE ST2110, Dolby Atmos encoded streams, and watermarking and signage schemes. Commercially, it is also available with a pay-per-use license to activate features only when they are needed.
“It is no longer practical or sensible to think of broadcast automation or multiviewers as independent devices,” says Thorsten Sauer. “The benefits of the software-defined playout environment come when everything works together, such as when Priusmon monitors the status of SCTE-35 reference tones and reports advertising insertions to Gallium, which works to maximize inventory utilization.”
