The TV Academy awards 'Cifras y Letras' the Iris Prize of the Specialized Press 2024
The jury of the Iris Specialized Press Prize 2024, awarded annually by the Television Academy, recognizes the trajectory of the program 'Cifras y Letras' "for being a competitive cultural alternative to prime time access that has known how to reinvent itself and is a clear example of public service."
The jury, made up of a representation of critics, journalists and television commentators in various media, has agreed, in a meeting held this Thursday at the Room Mate Óscar Hotel (Madrid), to award this award to the program Figures and Letters from TVE's La 2 presented by Aitor Albizua “for being oneCompetitive cultural alternative to access prime time and have known reinvent itself as a historical contest of television, which is a clear example of public service. For having reached all generations with a casting that reflects current social diversity.”
He jury This edition has been made up of: Esther Mucientes (El Mundo); Borja Terán (Henneo Media and Julia en la Onda); Mariola Cubells (Cadena Ser); Sofia Olmos (Europa Press); Israel Álvarez (20 Minutes); David Saiz (El Economista/ Informalia); Sergio Soriano (The Plural); Berto Molina (El Confidencial); Araceli Manzanares (Soon); Irene Jiménez (Audiovisual 451); Paloma Rando (El País); Marco Almodovar (El Español); Héctor Alabadí (FórmulaTV); Noé Guzmán (Infobae); Fran Gallardo (Joly Group); Ricky García (YoTele/Prensa Ibérica) Juanma Fernández, Natalia Marcos and Alicia Mingo.
In addition, it has had the participation of the vice presidents of the Television Academy Beatriz Maesso, Jota Abril and Joana Carrión representing the Board of Directors.
The Specialized Press Iris Award was born in 2016 with the reform of the Academy Awards regulations with the aim of recognizing the most valued programs and professionals of the television season.
