The Television Academy delivers the 2024 Talent Awards at the Ateneo de Madrid
The Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts presented the 2024 Talent Awards this Monday at the Ateneo de Madrid. The communicator Paula Vázquez led an emotional ceremony with which the institution recognizes each year the excellence of the professionals who work behind the camera.
This year's winners received their award on stage: Arantxa Écija (fiction director Mediaset España); Sofia Fabregas (VP Originals Disney+/Star Iberia); Alberto Carullo (VP Max Local Original Production Iberia&Italy); Lucas Vidal (Musician and composer); Isabel Cabrera (Deputy Director CSRTV); Oscar Prol (Head of unscripted Originals, Prime Video Spain); Emilio Sánchez Zaballos (director of atresplayer); Ricard Mateu (responsable de programación TV3); María Eizaguirre (directora de Comunicación y Participación de RTVE); Jesús Sánchez Villaba (director técnico CMMedia), Martha Manzano (productora y CEO Tesseo); Alberto Caballero y Laura Caballero (creadores y guionistas).
La ceremonia contó con intervenciones de Daniel Écija, Domingo Corral, Manuel Villanueva, Fernando González Molina, José María Durán, María José Rodríguez, Tomás Molina, José Antonio Antón, Oriol Nolis, Carmen Amores, Jordi González, Daniel Muriel y Santiago Iturrialde.
El vicepresidente de la Academia de Televisión, Jota Abril He highlighted in his speech that "awards are always a reason to meet, to celebrate the successes of colleagues and a stimulus to continue growing. And the Talent Award is a highly valued award in the profession because many times the soul of our profession works behind the camera." He also highlighted "the good health that Spanish audiovisuals enjoy and the creativity and passion of the professionals who make TV continue to connect with society, informing, entertaining, educating and even inspiring those who come to our screens. Television is not just entertainment; it is also a window to the world and a space to be close to people. So let's value its ability to unite us, even in the most difficult moments."
The Talent Awards are proposed by academics and voted on by the Academy's Board of Directors. To be eligible for this award, the candidate must have performed their professional work behind the cameras with brilliance and general recognition.
