TVN adquiere varias unidades Leader y Phabrix T&M para su nueva unidad móvil

The German TVN Live Production has purchased several units Leader y Phabrix T&M para su última unidad móvil TVN-OB8 diseñada para UHD, HDR y producción de audio inmersiva.

The new truck joins TVN's extensive European fleet, which now includes 11 mobile units and 13 SNG units. Each of them has been designed with the aim of achieving maximum performance, regardless of footprint, ensuring that the best possible production results can be obtained at all times. Of course, this also means that there is a clear need for the most capable and versatile production technologies, which is what led TVN to start a conversation with Leader Electronics of Europe some time ago about their ability to carry out the full range of signal quality measurements.

“At the beginning of the UHD era, we were looking for measurement devices that could recognize the new standard and display it correctly,” he recalls. Christoph Moll, CTO of TVN Live Production. “In close collaboration with our partner Logic Media Solutions, we chose Leader and Phabrix technology for the ease of configuration of their products and their total operational flexibility. “Leader/Phabrix products have been supplied and proven indispensable for all our live production units, which are deployed at a large number of live production events, including festivals and UEFA fixtures such as the Champions League.”

The need for a inherently flexible measuring device was the primary factor that motivated the purchase of seven Leader LV5600 waveform monitors, compatible with SDI and IP signals, for use with TVN-OB8. The chosen device had to be capable of measuring IP streams, 12G/3G/HD SDI, HDR/SDR color space and audio, and after a comparison of the available options a solution from Leader again emerged as the most suitable. TVN also acquired two portable waveform monitors Phabrix QxP, con 25G ST 2110 and 12G-SDI capacity, which will be used to make all measurements outside the truck.

The high operational reliability of the units, as well as their overall ease of use, clear signal display, variable measurement options and the ability to access firmware updates with new features are some of the advantages cited that make TVN return again and again to the Leader and Phabrix brands.
