209 Spanish feature films aspire to the Goya Awards 2025

To the 39th edition of the Goya Awards of the Film Academy A total of 209 Spanish films released in Spain between January 1 and December 31, 2024 are eligible. Of these 209 productions, 121 are fiction, 80 are documentaries and 8 are animation.

They also attend this year 21 European films (11 more than last year) and 17 Ibero-American feature films, films that in both categories have been chosen by their respective countries.

Of the 209 films submitted for the 2025 Goya Awards, 72 are debut works, compared to 69 the previous year. As for the scripts, 163 are original and 42 adapted.

Of the 62 short films registered, 30 are fiction, 17 are documentaries and 15 are animation.
