URJC Radio Studio

King Juan Carlos University (URJC) has renewed its radio studios on the Vicálvaro and Fuenlabrada Campuses (Madrid) in a project carried out by the engineering and audiovisual services company, Broad Service, which has had the collaboration of Inertia Audiovisual Technology.

The objective of the project was to update of the four radio studios of the Vicálvaro and Fuenlabrada Campuses of the university that are used for the training of students.

URJC Radio StudioFor this, the new Capitol IP12 mixer, along with multi-channel broadcast and recording software AudioPlus, both of AEQ. This mixing console allows the routing of any of the audio signals to the fader desired by the user, which allows each student or teacher to configure their own operating preset. The console, in addition to the analog audio signals of traditional devices, also accepts Dante signals through which four audio playback channels have been configured to trigger spots or jingles during programs. The AudioPlus software is what makes this last task possible and also allows its recording.

The challenge for this project has been to develop engineering and carry out an installation that ensures easy handling by students and teachers, the interconnectivity between studies when it comes to sharing content, and uniformity between studios and between the Vicálvaro and Fuenlabrada headquarters.

The system allows any of the four studios to use or create shared audio through a mass storage server. QNAP. Also, a clock system connected to a servidor NTP so that all controls and call rooms have synchronized time.
