Inertia - URJC - Rey Juan Carlos University

Inertia Audiovisual Technology has been awarded the tender promoted by the URJC (Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid) for the installation, configuration and commissioning of a lighting grid for one of its studios.

For the development of this improvement, whose final objective was to improve the lighting system of the university set so that students and teachers could carry out practices in a simple and quick way, Inercia has provided the space with five systems of motors, pulleys and rods. All of them are taken with electrical outlets and DMX outlets, on which users will be able to hang, remove or orient the fresnels, LED screens or the cutouts they need to illuminate the set depending on the type of program.

Inertia - URJC - Rey Juan Carlos UniversityAs Inercia comments, the main challenge of the project was to “provide the lighting system with agile and practical usability” so that both students and teachers could focus on the learning or academic training and that the technical operation of the room did not represent a jam or slowdown of class development. For this, a dashboard with which students can raise and lower each of the five poles independently and, also, a DMX signal mixing and distribution system which allows the connection of both lighting and control elements in different locations on the set. In this way, the system allows the control table to be clicked on the television set itself for a direct view of the lighting result or in production control.
