Driving Studios launches virtual production set with Kinolux

Con Kinolux as a partner, Driving Studios has integrated into its facilities a new virtual production set with top-level technological solutions.

The new virtual set, presented through two open days, is built throughout with LED screens Gloshine MV2.6mm curves measuring 20 meters wide by 5 meters high, with a 5000:1 contrast, adjustable brightness 1000-1300 nits, 2.6mm pixel pitch and a refresh rate of ≥3840 Hz. The system is completed with solutions for Disguise vx 4, responsible for playing high-resolution Ultra HD content (with inputs and outputs of up to 4K x 2K and a maximum of 8k), low latency, ultra-fast processing and HDR, and the video tracking system. Mon-Sys. Additionally, the environment stands out for offering great configuration flexibility, through flying screens, mobile LED totems and an adaptable lighting system.

Based on the motto “One studio, limitless universes”, Driving Studios highlights the advantages of these facilities: the versatility of the filming spaces, the time and cost savings (allows significantly reducing post-production times) or the creativity “unlimited”. In the words of Alex Perales, executive producer: “We are excited to offer such a powerful tool to professionals in the sector, allowing them to take their ideas beyond what is imaginable, together with a partner of the quality of Kinolux.”

With the aim of offering a space that meets the needs of production companies and event agencies, in addition to recording and virtual sets, Driving Studios offers the possibility of rent the rest of the facilities according to each client's requirements, starting with a room attached to the studio, also of 1,000m2. The building has 2 rooms of 30m2 each, a 40m2 production office with direct access to the studio and SDI playback connection, 2 changing rooms with showers of 40m2 each, a 40m2 dressing room, a 120m2 kitchen-dining room and a 240m2 open-plan room with access for vehicles, perfect even for large events.

Located at 60 km from the center of Barcelona and with direct access from the C-17 highway, the facilities have a 10,000m2 parking area (with easy access for both vehicles and trucks) and 3 loading docks that allow for faster assembly and disassembly processes, as well as the safe entry of confidential vehicles, as required by the TISAX certification.
