Adrián Gónzalez films 'What we don't say' (ISII Group)

Six Group has trusted Inefable Productions and in the production services of SIA Servicios Audiovisuales to give shape to 'What we don't say', a teenage drama set in the world of football directed by Adrián Gónzalez and filmed in Gran Canaria.

What we don't say is starring Alvaro Expósito (HIT, The eyes of the earth) y Adrian Mendez (Islands, Infinities), who delve into the skin of Samuel and Luca. Completing the cast is Ruth Trujillo (The nights of Tefía) and Silvia López, among others. Its story focuses on Samuel (Álvaro Expósito), a promising young soccer player who has everything in his life under control until he meets Luca (Adrián Méndez), a new teammate. Samuel must face unexpected feelings while trying to fulfill his goal of being signed by a first division team.

The creator and director of this project, Adrian Gonzalez, has extensive experience in the audiovisual world, directing several short films that have enjoyed great recognition at different festivals. This is the case of his work Dyspnoea, obtaining awards such as Best Canarian Short Film, Best Actress, Best Sound and Best Makeup at the Art Lab Film Festival. For its part, Andromeda It has been selected in 16 national and international festivals, obtaining the award for Best LGTBI Short Film at the 4Theatre Selection in the United States.

On What we don't say Adrián González comments that “the history explore fear to show oneself as one is and the internal struggle to fit into an environment that imposes silence. It is a story about identity, courage and the need to belong without giving up oneself.” Furthermore, he also adds: “My challenge was to transmit how the world can change in an instant, and how it hurts to feel the rejection of those people you considered friends. “I wanted the viewer to feel that anger and helplessness, and that, through them, they could reflect.”
