Kurro González shoots his second feature film 'The Empty Zone'

After the notable festival tour of his first film The Burrow, Kurro González has started filming The empty area, production of 32 Stories in co-production with Carlos Ibáñez Giralda.

The empty area it's a drama starring Francisco Conde, Alba Loureiro, Silvia Castellón, Alejandra Lorente and the new faces Abraham Montufo, Elena Aguirre and Marcos Cascón provoked by what one day was “a love story.”

The film will collect the story of Luis, a astrophysicist who studies the so-called “empty zone” in search of something that “gives consistency to his hopes of finding order in chaos.” To avoid his, he leads an orderly and routine life, in which there only seems to be space for his work and for Ángela, the woman with whom he shares his life. However, Luis will be overwhelmed by the memory of a teenage love that was cut short in a dramatic way.

He filming of The empty area has just started and will pass through locations like Valladolid, Burgos, Segovia, Mojados, Peñafiel and Almería. Stands out at the forefront of production Francisco Conde con 32 Stories, a young company located in Almería (Andalusia) whose objective is to produce cinematographic projects that seek universality “through deeply human stories.”

The Empty Zone has the collaboration of the Junta de Andalucía, Junta de Castilla y León, European Feder Funds, Provincial Council of Valladolid, Mojados Town Council and Peñafiel Town Council.
