Disguise - Eurovision 2025

Disguise has once again been named official technical supplier to the Eurovision Song Contest, a production to which the company provided its VX4+ media servers and IP-VFX cards, which enabled the output of ST 2110 video.

Building on the success of last year’s production, the first time Eurovision was fully realized with the ST 2110 IP protocol, Disguise has once again brought its technical solutions to an event organized by the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) that took place at the Jakobshalle in Basel on May 13, 15 and 17.

In collaboration with Creative Technology (CT), Eurovision 2025 also benefited from Disguise’s OmniCal system, a camera-based projection calibration solution that speeds set-up times while improving projection accuracy. Ollie Newland, product manager at Disguise, commented on the technology’s involvement in the event, “We’re very proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Eurovision and to play our role in pushing the technical boundaries of live event broadcast. It’s an iconic celebration of creativity and performance, and being trusted to help bring that vision to life on such a massive stage is an honour for everyone at Disguise.”

With 37 broadcasters covering the event, Eurovision continues to rely on the latest technology year after year to continue to amaze millions of viewers around the world. Also involved in the production were Megapixel, responsible for providing video processing solutions, and Roe Visual, which supplied the LED screens.
