TV9 Samoa upgrades its intercom system with Xpeak (AEQ)
The Xpeak intercom system AEQ lands on Samoa's public broadcaster, TV9, to improve internal and remote coordination at its headquarters.
Founded in 1947, TV9 It offers coverage to the entire archipelago from Apia, the capital located on the island of Upolu. With completely digitalized broadcasts, TV9 offers diverse programming that ranges from local, national and international information spaces, to cultural content that promotes music, theater and other artistic expressions typical of the country.
As part of its recent technical modernization process, TV9 has incorporated the intercom system AEQ Xpeak in its facilities. This solution has been implemented in various key areas, such as technical controls, the wording and including the engine room, through the use of rackable panels, desktop devices and beltpacks. The installation and comprehensive configuration of the system has been carried out by MiseOPoint, AEQ's local partner in the region, which has carried out the project completely.
The deployment of the new intercom system also includes units AEQ Xpeak-IF, designed to function as interfaces with the rest of the TV9 systems that operate on Dante audio over IP (AoIP) technology. This integration allows centralizing the interconnection of signals, both input and output, to and from the IFBs, program or N-1 signals, as well as speakers, links and monitoring systems, thus optimizing the station's audio infrastructure.
On the other hand, in the main production studio of Radio 2AP, has developed a multifunctional design which allows the production of both traditional radio programs and television productions. This versatility has been possible thanks to the implementation of a system of VisualRadio, integrated with the mixing console AEQ Capitol and connected to the Xpeak system through IF units installed in the same building. The result is an agile production environment adaptable to different broadcast formats.
Xpeak: intercommunication with virtual networks
The system AEQ Xpeak is based on a virtual network technology which allows automatic interconnection of your devices, without the need for complex configurations. Thanks to an integrated wizard, the panels, both physical and software versions, communicate with each other as if they shared the same production center, regardless of whether they operate on a local network (LAN) or from remote locations with Internet access. No static IP addresses, dynamic DNS or port forwarding are required as each panel automatically adapts to the conditions of the network it is on. This flexibility offers immediate uptime even in highly restrictive network environments.
A typical AEQ Xpeak based system can be composed of multiple devices operating within the same headquarters, complemented by additional units located in remote or residential environments. An outgoing Internet connection is sufficient for local devices to communicate with remote panels. This connection allows you to link with the cloud virtual network server, which is responsible for routing the audio bidirectionally, guaranteeing fluid communication between all points in the system, regardless of their physical location.
The AEQ Xpeak family of intercom systems offers a wide range of variety of devices adapted to different operational needs. Your options include rackable user panels, desktop units, wireless and wired beltpacks, as well as PC software licenses. In addition, it has complete interface units that allow integration with third-party solutions, making the system a versatile and scalable tool for modern production environments.
