The Cantabrian capital will host the 9th edition of the Santander Film Festival, whose Lighthouses of Honor will go to the producer María Zamora (Elastic, Avalon) and the actor Luis Tosar.

In 2021, María Zamora creates with Enrique Costa Elastica Films (both founding partners of Avalon P.C. and Avalon D.A and until then, executive producer and distributor, respectively). Elastica is committed to author and independent cinema, maintaining its faithful commitment to films of high cinematographic quality and supporting new directors.

More recently, María has participated in the production of The red virgin, an original Amazon Studio production directed by Paula Ortiz (San Sebastián Festival 2024); Hail Mary, by Mar Coll (Feroz Award for Best Dramatic Film 2025), and half of Ana, the debut feature by Marta Nieto (SEMINCI 2024). He is currently working on the post-production of two debut films, I will not die of love, by Marta Matute, and Runner, by Laura García Alonso; in the pre-production of El deshielo, by Manuela Martelli, and in the development of cheat sheet, by Lila Avilés, and The lunatics, by Tatiana Huezo. In 2025 it will premiere in the Official Section of the Cannes Film Festival Pilgrimage, Carla Simón's third film.

Maria Zamora, in addition to his usual assistance to festivals y markets With his own projects, he has attended several international festivals as a jury. She participated in Cannes Critics' Week in 2022, in Berlinale Perspectives in 2025 and was president of the Horizontes Latinos section of the San Sebastián Festival in 2021, among others. He has been part of the board of directors of AECINE, and is currently a member of the EFF and graduate and national coordinator in EAVE.
