The Telefónica Foundation will pay tribute to Gabriel Barrasa

On December 3, the Telefónica Foundation will honor this outstanding engineer, a key figure in the development of Spanish audiovisuals.

Gabriel BarrasaThe Telefónica Foundation will honor Gabriel Barrasa, one of the longest-serving professionals in our industry.

Telecommunications engineer, Barrasa actively participated in the launch of Telemadrid and Retevisión (today Abertis Telecom). Accustomed to always dealing with technological challenges, he played a key role in the launch of the first Spanish satellite with Hispasat.

A great collaborator of Pilar Miró during his time at TVE, Barrasa was also in charge of putting Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) on the audiovisual map.

The tribute ceremony will take place next Tuesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m., in the Telefónica Foundation Auditorium (Fuencarral, 3 28013 Madrid).
