Albornoz has more than twenty years of experience in the professional audio sector in companies such as Digidesign (Avid), Neotécnica and Audio-Technica, and has also directed various specialized media outlets.

Since its creation as a division of Datos Media Technologies, Soundware Media has the purpose of offering its clients the best solutions and services in the fields of audio equipment supply, engineering, consulting and integration projects. This means working with the best brands and the most qualified personnel. Thus, the company has opted to reinforce the business management and marketing strategies with the experience of Gabriel Albornoz.

At the end of the 90s, Albornoz took his first steps in the world of professional audio in Barcelona, ​​as a member of the writing teams of various technical publications aimed at musicians, audio experts and sound synthesis. At this stage Albornoz wrote numerous articles and also carried out analysis of production hardware and software tools, and was part of the team that translated the Logic Audio user interface and manuals into Spanish for the first time. Also during this stage Albornoz conducted interviews with rock legends such as Joe Satriani, Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess, among others.

Also in Barcelona, ​​during 2003 Albornoz was responsible for marketing and communication at Digidesign Iberia (Avid today).

In 2004, Albornoz moved to Madrid, where he took over the direction of the magazine Audio Production, a position where he remained until 2012. During this stage he signed countless articles, generally of great technical depth, on equipment, installations and production in the fields of broadcast, studios and direct sound.

It was in 2012 when his career took him back to brand strategies, and he was hired at Neotécnica as Brand Manager for brands such as AKG, Avid Venue and Focal Professional, among others.

Tres años después se incorporó como Brand Manager de Genelec y Allen & Health dentro de Audio-Technica Iberia, en una primera etapa, y más tarde como Manager de la división profesional en una segunda hasta finales del 2020, siendo el máximo responsable de producto para España de marcas como las citadas Genelec y Allen & Heath, así como también Audio-Technica (productos profesionales) y Martin Audio, entre otras.
