The director of the Antena 3 Foundation, Carmen Bieger, and the rector of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Carlos Berzosa, have signed a collaboration agreement for the next five years focused on developing training actions for students who have some type of disability. The first joint action will be the development of the “Specialization Course in Multimedia Communication”, the third one convened by the Antena 3 Foundation.

The Antena 3 Foundation and the Complutense University of Madrid Foundation have reached a collaboration agreement for the next five years, framed within the so-called PRO Project, focused on developing training actions for students who have some type of disability.

The first joint action will be the development of the “Specialization Course in Multimedia Communication”, the third convened by the Antena 3 Foundation, within the set of actions undertaken within the framework of the Pro Project, the first audiovisual school designed for people with disabilities.

Present at the signing of the agreement, this Thursday in Madrid, were the director of the Antena 3 Foundation, Carmen Bieger, the rector of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Carlos Berzosa, as well as representatives of the UCM and the UCM Foundation.

ATAM, the Official College of Psychologists of Madrid, The Adecco Foundation, the Integra Foundation, the La Caixa Foundation, the Manpower Foundation, the ONCE-FSC Inserta Foundation, the Randstad Foundation and the Royal Board of Trustees on Disability are also collaborating entities in the project.

Project Pro, which has the institutional support of the Royal Board on Disability and the ONCE Foundation, aims to open itself to the entire audiovisual sector market, which is why it encourages companies in the audiovisual sector and, in general, all those companies, producers, organizations and institutions that share the objectives of this project to participate in it.

The primary objective of this project is to encourage the hiring and access to the world of work of people with disabilities from the audiovisual industry itself. The Pro Project activity started last year, thanks to the initiative of the Antena 3 Foundation with the TV Production Assistant Course, which was followed by the Radio and Television Broadcast Planner and Supervisor, both taught at the Carlos III University of Getafe (Madrid).

Specialization Course in Multimedia Communication

The “Specialization Course in Multimedia Communication” will have its own specific teaching staff for these subjects, both belonging to the UCM and specialists in the multimedia sector, all adapted to the needs of the students, and will have a maximum number of 20 places, which will be fully subsidized by a Scholarship Program.

Companies in the sector such as Telemadrid, Onda Madrid and Vértice 360º, in addition to the media of the Antena 3 Group (Antena 3 and Onda Cero) are some of the companies that collaborate with the Pro Project.
