Grass Valley will bring the full power of Grass Valley Media Universe (GVMU) to IBC 2025
Grass Valley will attend IBC 2025 with important new developments that cover all stages of the audiovisual production workflow. Together with its GV Alliance partners, the company will present comprehensive solutions for media companies.
The popular AMPP ecosystem (with bookings up more than 120% year-on-year), the range of solutions such as Karerra and K-Frame VXP production mixers, recently updated, and the renewed LDX-100 range of cameras, which includes the new LDX 180 Super 35 system camera, will mark the manufacturer's presence in Amsterdam.
Jon Wilson, CEO of Grass Valley, notes that “our story of organic growth, supported by the true innovation of the GVMU and AMPP ecosystems, is setting the pace of the sector's transformation, as media companies transition to new, more sustainable ways of operating.” "Our next-generation innovations are driving a new era of agile, sustainable and profitable production and distribution capabilities for organizations around the world to transform their operations. Together with our Alliance partners, we look forward to sharing these success stories and our important innovations at our booth at IBC 2025," he adds.
Just launched at the NAB Show in April, the LDX 180 camera will make its European debut in Amsterdam. Featuring an in-house developed 10K Xenios Super 35 sensor, the new camera combines true cinematic depth of field with the speed and precision needed for live production, allowing media companies to completely redefine storytelling with native UHD output of unparalleled quality. Grass Valley will also exclusively present a new addition to the LDX range at IBC 2025.
They will also display the K-Frame VXP production mixer and the Karerra V2 control panels, which debuted at IBC 2024 and are now available for shipping. These agile, virtualized systems are designed for production teams working in space- and budget-constrained environments, and have quickly become the trusted foundation for hybrid and software-based operations, transforming the way many forward-thinking businesses work.
Building bridges
“We're not here to take sides; whether your operation is hardware-based, cloud-based, or hybrid workflow-based, Grass Valley has on-demand solutions to fit your needs,” he says. Adam Marshall, product manager. "Our latest networking solutions reflect this approach by combining high-density FPGA processing with the flexibility of virtualization and software-defined workflows on hybrid computing platforms, all managed through a single control layer. The goal is to give customers complete control and flexibility, so they can decide how, where and when to deploy their infrastructure."
The new network portfolio, which will be shown at IBC 2025, will allow seamlessly connect traditional SDI and IP workflows, either as a high-density gateway or as a bridge to the AMPP GRID structure. It delivers unmatched scalability, density, and efficiency for virtualized workflows.
By connecting hardware and virtualized environments, these solutions give media organizations the flexibility to simplify infrastructure and optimize resources, on their terms. GVMU's ability to coordinate the entire production chain, from the first signal to the final cut, will be demonstrated with important developments in integrated playback and end-to-end production automation.
Along with playback system updates LiveTouch X and the content ingestion and management platform Framelight X, Grass Valley will show how the core capabilities of AMPP OS provide tightly integrated workflows that reduce effort, increase flexibility, and deliver measurable efficiency. The company will also exhibit its solutions Playout y FAST, which can be deployed instantly and provide media organizations with the tools they need to launch, adapt, and scale with ease. These solutions have been developed in close collaboration with key GV Alliance partners, and exciting new partnerships will be revealed in the days leading up to the show.
“We are introducing, improving and expanding solutions across the GVMU ecosystem,” Wilson continues, “and we are doing so at a steady, global pace that reflects our commitment to equipping customers with the tools they need to navigate the accelerating pace of operational change.”
