Alex Holtz, new vice president of Digital Media Solutions in Grass Valley
Holtz assumes this position with the idea of strengthening Grass Valley's presence in multiplatform distribution
In order to strengthen its multiplatform distribution solutions area, Grass Valley just named Alex Holtz as vice president of Digital Media Solutions. With more than thirty years of experience in control systems, production, editing, multiplatform distribution, room automation, direct and on-demand streaming, robotic systems... Holtz assumes the position with the idea of strengthening Grass Valley's presence in multiplatform distribution.

Alex will lead the Digital Media Solutions division, where he will define strategy and coordinate Grass Valley's product development to deliver the most effective solutions for our clients. As a dedicated member of the Grass Valley team, Alex brings considerable experience and industry knowledge to his new position. He has made significant contributions to the company such as Integrated Production Solutions (IPS), and was responsible for the development of Ignite, MediaFUSE and the line of HDC cameras for live news production, Internet streaming and mobile applications, and robotic camera systems.”
Prior to joining Grass Valley in 2004, Holtz held various product management and engineering positions at ParkerVision, Parker Electronics and Westinghouse where he played a key role in numerous world-renowned developments.
Holtz, an engineering graduate from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, will be based in Grass Valley's Atlanta office.
