Grass Valley - Previa NAB 2025

From a new location in the North Pavilion of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Grass Valley will continue to expand its GV Media Universe (GVMU) ecosystem and present, among other new features, the LDX 180 camera.

With the aim of responding to the needs of an industry that is at a “crucial moment”, in the words of the president and director of operations of Grass Valley, Jon Wilson, the American company lands in NAB 2025 highlighting the opportunities of the platform AMPP. It is operating system for media production, bridges hardware and software solutions and powers high-performance workflows in live production, content management, automation and distribution.

According to Grass Valley, the AMPP adoption rates have skyrocketed, with average use exceeding 11 million hours per month. The success of AMPP represents the “broader growth of the company”, which has managed to increase its reach by 25% in 2024. For Louis Hernandez Jr.., executive chairman and CEO of Grass Valley, “true innovation with the GVMU is enabling a new era of agile, sustainable and profitable production and delivery for media companies around the world.”

In the capture section, the main protagonist of the Grass Valley showcase will be the new camera LDX 180, which debuts at NAB 2025 with an engine Super35 Geniuses which offers an “astonishing” cinematic depth of field, with greater definition and vividness. This system combines cinematic depth with the speed and precision of live production to “redefine” the way we tell stories. The entire LDX series will be on display, including the new LDX 110 with RF for wireless production, and the new LDX 135 con 5G, which offers direct AMPP contribution without ingest conversion.

The new Grass Valley booth will offer a sample of the GVMU complete, with products and solutions covering cameras and live production; networking and processing; news and media workflows; content management and editing, linear and event-based broadcasting, among other areas. The stand will also welcome members of the growing GV Alliance, which brings together companies from all media sectors.

Additionally, Grass Valley's management team will participate in the GV Forum 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas on Saturday, April 5, starting at 8 a.m. Organized by the GVx Council, the event includes executive roundtables, case studies, exclusive industry research on behalf of GVx by Caretta Research and AMPP technology demonstration sessions, followed by a drinks reception. In this framework, Louis Hernandez Jr. will present his new book Digital Tsunami, which explores the massive digital changes shaping the media and entertainment industry.
