Grass Valley validates cameras with AJA HDR Image Analyzer 12G

The HDR Image Analyzer 12G solution from AJA has allowed Grass Valley validate the HDR capabilities of the new LDX C135 compact camera and the LDX 150 studio camera.

Grass Valley, in order to ensure that its products meet the various industry standards, frequently works with test and measurement equipment from various manufacturers during their research and development phases. In this context, the company has recently used the HDR Image Analyzer 12G de AJA to validate its technology for the premium live broadcast camera LDX 150 and the newly introduced compact camera LDX C135.

Grass Valley's R&D engineering team connected the camera to a HDR Image Analyzer 12G and to a monitor HDR via a single 12G-SDI cable. To compare the outputs of two different cameras, an SDI router was added AJA Kumo to the configuration, which allowed the sources to be exchanged. The exit 4K/UHD of each camera was sent to a monitor for visual evaluation through HDR Image Analyzer, which made it possible to undertake an analysis of the signal in real time, revealing information about the signal in real time. From there, the engineer was able to switch between camera sources and perform an accurate color comparison using the histograms, the vectorscope and the HDR waveform monitoring functions of HDR Image Analyzer.
