Germany's Triofilm TV selects Grass Valley's new LDX camera series

Triofilm TV's new mobile unit will be on the streets in spring 2013 to cover sporting and entertainment events.

The audiovisual services company Triofilm TV, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, has selected five LDX series cameras and an LDK 8300 Live Super SloMo camera system from Grass Valley to be part of your live HD production workflow. The new mobile unit will be on the road in spring 2013 to cover sporting and entertainment events.

Triofilm TV is a long-time Grass Valley customer and wanted to ensure that the new mobile unit would be future-proof in terms of technology, features and formats to achieve a quick return on their investment. He ultimately decided on the LDX Première, a high-performance, affordable dual-format HD camera optimized for today's typical broadcast applications.

One of the key features of the LDX series is the developed Xensium-FT CMOS imagers, which provide sharp images in a variety of HD resolutions while eliminating typical CMOS artifacts, particularly the “rolling shutter effect.” Camera system flexibility has also been of utmost importance to Triofilm, with the LDX Première series providing flexibility in software that can be updated quickly and easily.

Triofilm TV has ordered the LDX Première cameras along with Grass Valley's 3G transmission system and twin fiber/triax base stations.
