Cast renews its cameras opting for Grass Valley
Crosspoint supplies ten Grass Valley LDX Elite model cameras to this production company based in Madrid and Barcelona.

Audiovision Cast, a production company with more than 17 years of experience and offices in Madrid and Barcelona, has opted for the new LDX Elite cameras from Grass Valley, supplied by Crosspoint. When it comes to renewing its broadcast equipment, Elenco has opted for this option due to its image quality, range of features, scalability and future prospects.
After thorough test sessions and evaluations of the main models on the market, by technicians and operators, Elenco decided on the Grass Valley model, aware of the latest technology it offers, based on the new Xensium CMOS sensor with greater sensitivity, and its enormous versatility.
With them, it intends to equip its mobile unit in high definition and offer it at all the high-level sporting events that it usually produces, such as Champions League matches, Liga BBVA matches, Asobal, ACB, coverage of the Olympic Games... as well as all types of corporate events, recordings of television programs, advertising...
Javier Martín, director of technical resources and operations at Elenco, assures that "Grass Valley's LDX Elite camera offers the best quality/price on the market. In addition, it allows us to face all types of productions with the greatest guarantees. The transition through temporary or perpetual licenses from one model to another, with different features, adapted to the needs of each production offers me the possibility of making my investment profitable from day one and paying for what is needed at all times, without tolls or future conditions." Another differentiating element, Javier points out, has been the innovative concept of the XCU.
The CCU or, better said,
Each XCU comes with its own cradle, but purchasing additional units allows you to extend its use to different locations and quickly and easily transfer XCUs between mobile units, studios or any other installation. The base station allows you to recall the last used camera settings in a few seconds.
In addition, this cradle is compatible with both the new LDX 80 and the superior LDX 86 4K / Ultra Super Slow Motion series.
Another point that Elenco has considered fundamental when deciding on the Grass Valley cameras has been the new policy of the North American brand of strengthening after-sales service. Martín recognizes that "after the acquisition of Grass Valley by Belden, there is a clear commitment in the company to improve the support service to its customers. A policy that, specifically in Spain, is especially endorsed by entrusting distribution to a company like Crosspoint, which is characterized in the market by the quality of the after-sales service it offers to its customers."
In addition to the ten complete camera chains (Triax version), Crosspoint has supplied Elenco with a dozen 2.7” and 7” LCD viewfinders respectively, sixteen OCP 400 control panels, a universal control panel, eight additional cradles and various auxiliary material such as cases and protectors.
