INFiLED LED screens bring extended reality (XR) to the French TF1
INFiLED supplies a curved LED screen to the French broadcaster TF1, allowing the network to offer extended reality (XR) sequences rendered live in Unreal Engine 5 for news and magazine programs.
The 10.5×3 meter screen, built with LED panels from the serie Xmk2 by INFiLED, is designed to deliver consistent, color-accurate performance on camera, and forms the centerpiece of TF1's revamped broadcast studio.
TF1's relationship with INFiLED dates back to 2023, when their LED screens were integrated into the morning show Bonjour! and were subsequently used to support immersive segments on TF1's flagship news programs, The 1 p.m. y The 8 p.m.. For the most recent upgrade project, INFiLED partnered with the systems integrator CACV, based in Paris, to provide TF1 with a visual canvas that would place its presenters in immersive virtual environments rendered in real time with Unreal Engine.
The core of the installation is a pantalla IRX1.95M2mk2 Ultra modified from INFiLED's Xmk2 series. The Xmk2 series was selected for its chromatic accuracy, its high native contrast and his ultra-smooth visual performance, critical factors when rendering augmented reality and

The Xmk2 series also incorporates two technologies patented by INFiLED, CBSF (Color & Brightness Shift Free) y ArmorLEDCBSF technology solves the long-standing problem of color shifting (e.g., bluish or reddish tones) that distorts images when viewed from a wide angle. CBSF harmonizes RGB between pixels, stabilizing color temperature and brightness for consistency across all viewing angles. It also saves energy, in line with the corporate values of INFiLED and TF1. Meanwhile, screens equipped with ArmorLED have between 3 and 5 times more power than standard LEDs, providing robustness and reliability in the TF1 newsroom, with high traffic and activity 24 hours a day
The LED wall is also fully modular, offering maximum flexibility to studio operators, and integrates seamlessly with TF1's XR/Unreal Engine Array.
Matthew Arnould, INFiLED sales director for France, acknowledges that “we are very excited to support TF1's innovative adventure in the XR in real time for millions of viewers, and proud to continue our collaboration with France's main television network.”
“If you want to improve the realism of a virtual environment or add more creative opportunities to your live broadcasts, broadcasts or film productions, we invite you to speak with one of our team members or try our product configurator to discover how our solutions can benefit your broadcast studios or virtual production,” he concludes.
