Wisycom launches the MTP61 XL, an updated version of its bodypack transmitter
A portable RF over fiber box, designed for long-distance RF transport, and the MTP61 XL, a new version of the miniature multiband bodypack transmitter, constitute the two great novelties of Wisycom with which the brand seeks to help the industry overcome “critical challenges” in broadcast, cinematographic and live production environments.
The new MTP61 XL, premiered within the framework of IBC 2025, is based on the MTP61 of Wisycom, defined as the “smallest” multiband bodypack transmitter in the world, and offers twice the autonomy without sacrificing its dimensions. With just 7mm of additional depth, the XL offers over 19 hours at 10mW, 16 hours at 50mW, and almost 15 hours at 100mW with recording enabled.
The tool retains Wisycom's widest tuning range and advanced linear technology for a frequency planning without intermodulation. Its rugged, splash-resistant casing, patented waterproof magnetic connector, and Bluetooth monitoring and control via Wisycom Manager or mobile applications provide flexibility in the field. Existing MTP61 users can upgrade to the XL version by replacing the battery cover and using the new XL battery.
On the other hand, the new RF over fiber portable box Wisycom offers a compact, field-ready solution for transport RF signals when coaxial cable is not practical or would cause excessive signal loss. Available as a two-channel iso-frequency transmitter over fiber or a diversity receiver with two independent channels, the unit operates over single-mode fiber to deliver flawless signal integrity over long runs with minimal degradation.
They are wide dynamic range and low noise design They ensure clear, interference-free performance, even in congested RF environments. The unit is both battery and mains powered, making it suitable for remote or mobile deployments, while a temperature-controlled fan and rugged construction provide reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions.
Its BNC and fiber connections allow for fast and flexible setup for transmission IFB/IEM or microphone diversity reception, making it a versatile option for mobile units, theater productions and large-scale live events. It also supports the remote control over Ethernet, offering operators flexible management over long distances.
The MTP61 XL is available now, and the portable RF-over-Fiber box will be available in early Q4 through Wisycom's dealer network.
