AEQ, axis of the technological transformation of the Radio STA station

The Australian Radio STA, which operates in the Inverell region broadcasting on the 91.9 FM frequency, has undertaken a major technological renovation led by the integrator Broadcast Components, which opted for the solutions of the Spanish AEQ.

As a regional station, the proposal of Radio STA is strongly focused in proximity content, with a programming that stands out for the Australian music and for information public utility. Many of its most popular segments are directed and produced by volunteer workers o local public institutions.

One of the key guidelines followed by the technical management of Radio STA during his most recent technological renewal was the team search robust, easy to operate and that, in a simple way, offered high audio quality for the final listener. Taking these conditions into account, the chain's technical management opted for two digital audio consoles AEQ Forum Lite 12 faders for the two main programming studios, along with an IP multi-conference system AEQ Systel, a tool that allows broadcast telephony to be connected to current IP-based corporate switchboards, eliminating the need to maintain exclusive conventional lines for this purpose.

The base interconnection technology chosen was AoIP about protocol Dante, due to the simplicity of the wiring. In addition, a compact digital matrix was installed AEQ NETBOX32 MX in the MCR and, for the outdoor service or STL links to the plant, audiocoders were used AEQ Phoenix in their models Alio, Mercury y Talent, managed through AEQ ControlPhoenix management software.
