CV Radio, the independent and plural station of Valencia, is equipped with AEQ
The studios, installed turnkey, are based on Forum and Capitol digital consoles and AudioPlus automation system.
CV Radio began its broadcasts with the purpose of offering Valencian society a new voice that would report independently and plurally on daily news, with total connection with the local environment and maximum identification with the concerns of Valencians. It is a generalist radio, made exclusively in Valencia with a variety of content.
Operational needs and commitment to listeners forced them to choose fully digital technology equipment. The decision was opted for AEQ due to the quality references and operational flexibility of the products, the commercial professionalism and the after-sales service. A “turnkey” supply including furniture designed by AEQ tailored to the spaces and needs.
Los studios are made up of three rooms; two of them destined for booth and main control, the third is the recording studio in self-control format with a guest table. The modular digital mixer was installed in the main control AEQ Forum 12 faders built into the countertop and self-controlling a compact digital mixer AEQ Capitol IP.
Both mixers have their respective IP audio interfaces with the Dante protocol, since the connection between studios is structured around that technology.
All studios are interconnected with each other, through a Gigabit Ethernet network over which the audio travels via IP. Forum sends and receives 32 audio signals. Capitol IP, 16. The network signals include the client PCs of the Audioplus automation system. This eliminates all multi-pair cabling between studios and gains flexibility.
Each studio can record and broadcast at the same time, although generally the auto control is used to record and the main control to broadcast. In both cases, the installed AEQ mixers allow a given signal to be routed along an exclusive path to be sent as a program signal on the air. Thus, the signal supplied by the AEQ Audioplus automation system can be sent to the air and the two studios are freed up for recording tasks, while a play list is broadcast.
Control of the main studio with parlor
In another conditioned space, outside the studios, a 42-unit rack was installed that houses the servers. AudioPlus, el audiocodec IP Venus, los switches and radio links for sending the program signal to the sending center.
All content is managed by Audioplus automation system, in client-server configuration. A file server and two network stations located one in each control. It also includes the 24/7 Audioplus Cont continuity recorder, which allows you to record different audio channels for 24 hours and extract any cuts without affecting the continuity of the recording.
For the outside broadcasts is used a doble audiocodec IP, AEQ Phoenix Venus in the studio, and a AEQ Phoenix Another in the mobile unit.
The lounge furniture is designed based on the CV Radio logo with space for five guests. Each position has a plate AEQ HB-02 which makes it easy to connect a microphone, headphones and adjust their volume.
An SCR-03 desktop signaling and cutting box was installed in the main announcer's position, with remote functions towards the AEQ Forum mixer.
CV Radio also has a recording studio, with space for a self-controlled announcer-operator and three guests.
The entire project has been led by AEQ's commercial manager for the Valencian Community, Bernardo Sáiz, in coordination with the technical services of CV Radio.
