The Argentine station Cadena 3 equips its studios with AEQ technology

Based in Córdoba and broadcasting throughout Argentina, Cadena 3 transforms the last three studios that were still analog into digital by integrating the AEQ Grand Forum console into them.

Chain 3, the private station that broadcasts from Córdoba to all of Argentina, has launched a digitization project transforming the last three studios that were still analog into digital by integrating the console into them AEQ Grand Forum.

Cadena 3 is the successor to LV3 Radio Córdoba, a state station founded in 1930 under the name LV3 Radio Buenos Aires-Córdoba. To the historical frequency of LV3, 700 kHz in AM for the province of Córdoba and south of Santa Fe, different repeaters and affiliated stations were added throughout the country, reaching third place among the most listened to radio stations during the mornings nationwide (in Cordoba it is listened to by 85% of the audience).

In 1992 AEQ completely equipped Cadena 3 using the latest analog technology developed to date with excellent results since most of the original material has survived in operation to this day.

In 2013, the technical management of Cadena 3 decided to migrate a large part of the studies to digital and obviously AEQ was the company selected as the main contractor supplying the new router central AEQ BC2000D, three AEQ Arena consoles and the system multiconferencia AEQ Systel, among others.

The console chosen for this project incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercommunication...

With a modular design and small size, it adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, booth control, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration into large installations...

Simplicity and control power are combined in AEQ Forum to cover both the most basic and advanced operating needs, starting with a minimum control surface of 4 faders and can be easily expanded up to 8 and 12 independent channels with the standard chassis and up to 20 channels with the Grand Forum chassis.

The entire project has been led by Cadena 3 engineers, Guillermo Chialvo and Mr Axel Maldonado, in collaboration with VEC's commercial manager, Federico Heuser, as AEQ's local partner in Argentina, and his counterpart in Madrid, Luis Miguel Sanchez-Migallon.
