Ulrich Voigt, new head of Riedel's SimplyLive business

Riedel Communications has appointed Ulrich Voigt as director of its live production solutions division, an area from which he will lead the German brand's growing SimplyLive business.

Voigt, which replaces Luc Doneux, will aim to complete the integration of the solutions SimplyLive in the global live video solutions strategy of Riedel. Jan Eveleens, director of the product division of Riedel Communications, considers that the company's latest addition will contribute its extensive experience “in live production and cloud business transformation,” as he has led “large multidisciplinary teams” and guided “the product strategy, design and implementation of innovative broadcast and cloud-based solutions.

“His track record, leadership and strategic vision make him the ideal person to continue the development and growth of SimplyLive and strengthen its role in Riedel's live video portfolio,” he adds. Also on Voigt, a professional who previously served as global director of product management and cloud transformation at Vizrt, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of live production, automation and software-based broadcast graphics solutions. As a member of the executive management team, he played a key role in the company's transformation to integrated, cloud-based solutions and modern business models.

An engineer with a degree in Communications Engineering from the Darmstadt University of Technology, Voigt also held the position of design director at Qvest Media, a company in which he directed the technological alignment of multi-system solutions for global consulting and systems integration projects. Previously, he worked as a senior IT architect for the media and entertainment industry at IBM Global Business Services.

Tras guiar a SimplyLive a través de su exitosa integración en Riedel, Doneux will pass the witness to Voigt and will seek new opportunities from January 1, 2026. He will remain linked to Riedel in a consulting capacity, promoting a smooth transition and providing guidance on projects of strategic importance to the Riedel Group.
