The RTVE Lab's '100 years of radio' project expands its track record with two Lovie awards

The RTVE Audiovisual Innovation Laboratory (Lab RTVE) has been recognized with two Lovie Awards 2025 for your project'100 years of radio’: bronce en la categoría Websites & Mobile Sites General – Lifestyle & Entertainment y el Premio del Público (People’s Lovie Award) en la misma categoría.

Los Lovie Awards, organized by The Webby Awards and the European Interactive Advertising Association, recognize the best of the Internet in Europe in terms of design, innovation and digital storytelling. With this double award, bronze and public award, the Lab de RTVE consolidates itself as an international reference in the creative use of files and in the exploration of new narrative formats.

The project, a collaboration between the Lab de RTVE and the Spanish National Radio Archive to celebrate the centenary of radio in Spain, it was also a finalist in the international awards Europa Prize in the category Digital Media. Furthermore, he reached the final phase of the FIAT/IFTA Archive Achievement Awards in the category Unlocking the Value and Potential of Archives, where he was highlighted for his ability to highlight RTVE's sound archive.

Released in November 2024, 100 years of radio invites users to explore the history of Spanish radio broadcasting through a escape room digital divided by decades: from the 1920s to the present. Each room proposes challenges and enigmas that are resolved exclusively through audio fragments from the Spanish National Radio archive, selected and restored for the occasion. The result is a immersive experience that combines play, memory and dissemination, turning RTVE's sound heritage into an interactive adventure that celebrates the evolution of radio and its role in the country's history.
