Audiovisual Talent Week returns with the algorithm and content consumption at the center of its proposal
Driven by the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, the Audiovisual Talent Week will celebrate its eleventh edition from November 24 to 28 at the Disseny Hub Barcelona, in which it will focus on how algorithms are transforming audiences, content and the way of connecting with the public.
This approach will be materialized in the day Audiences in times of algorithms, which will take place on Tuesday, November 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Presented and moderated by the 3cat journalist Marina Romero, will analyze how the artificial intelligence, digital platforms and new consumer habits They are redefining the way we measure and understand audiences.
The session will bring together some of the leading experts in the audience research and analysis. The day will open with the presentation of Miguel Ángel Fontal, general director of the AIMC (Association for Media Research), which will present new methodologies to understand a media ecosystem where media and audiovisual content transcend traditional television within the digital universe. Next, a round table on trends and developments in audience measurement will feature the participation of Eduard Nafria (Kantar Media), Carles Manteca (Konodrac), Ricardo Vaca Berdayes (Windward Communication) y David Sanchez (GfK), which will discuss the challenges of measuring impact in a fragmented context dominated by algorithms.
Next, Regina Arenas, head of the Citizenship Knowledge Hub of 3cat, will offer the presentation The enigma of Alpha DNA: deciphering the keys to the next generation, where he will analyze the new forms of consumption and participation of the youngest audience. The day will end with a second round table, From zapping to algorithm, with the participation of Maties Ramos (3cat), Laura Folguera (La 2), Miquel Herrada (XAL) and Georgina Ferri (Betevé), which will reflect on how programming and the relationship with the viewer have been transformed with the arrival of platforms, streaming and content personalization.
An extensive cross-industry analysis program
For five days, the Design Hub Barcelona It will become a space for debate, inspiration and professional connection, with sessions with experts, networking dynamics and presentations of innovative projects that link the university and the audiovisual industry. In this edition, Talent Week will also include the session Conversation with Talent, with the director and screenwriter Julia de Paz (To want) and the screenwriter Eduard Sola (House in flames, Want, Quotes). This space for dialogue will focus on the creation of stories that connect with the public and the role of new talent in the audiovisual industry.

Another meeting of great interest will be Meet the Experts · Animation (November 27, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.), in which a group of professional women from the animation sector—Anna Solanas, Lyona Ivanova, Paula Martín, Daniela Belmonte and Yennifer Jaramillo—will share their daily lives and their professional careers. Through a format of conversation with the public, the focus will be on emerging and specialized tasks within the audiovisual sector, such as animation, the digital environment, video games, 3D environments and visual narrative. They will also explore how these roles are evolving and what opportunities they offer to new generations.
Audiovisual Talent Week will host other activities to connect professionals and young talents, such as New Professionals Market, or the usual Audiovisual Pitching University-Industry, which has the collaboration of leading Catalan companies and production companies such as Abacus, Diagonal TV, Gestmusic, Lastor Media, Minoria Absoluta, Veranda, Brutal Media, Lavinia, Mediacrest, Filmin, YOUPLANET, Gameloft, La Manchester and Selecta Vision. In addition, projects from other editions will be presented to international sales agents such as Minerva Pictures (Italy) or B Rated International (France).
