Canon EOS C50

Canon will once again be part of the MicroSalon AEC 2025 (December 12 and 13, La Nave Madrid), an event in which professionals and students from the world of cinema will be able to discover first-hand new developments in the field of cinema optics and the EOS Cinema ecosystem with RF mount.

Canon will present new developments at the MicroSalón such as the EOS C50, the most compact camera to date in the EOS Cinema series. This solution full frame hybrid with RF mount incorporates a new sensor CMOS 7K full frame and processor DIGIC DV 7 to offer internal recording in RAW hasta 7K a 60P, high-speed recording up to 4K at 120P / 2K at 180P, as well as 32 MP high-resolution photographs and lots of detail.

MicroSalón AEC 2025 - PosterAttendees will also be able to learn about the new objective Cine-Servo CN5x11 IAS T R1/P1, the widest zoom in Canon's Cine-Servo range, with a focal length of 11 mm and a 100 degree wide viewing angle. Available in RF and PL mount, it combines a 8K image quality with a lightweight design and the new next generation eXs-V digital servo drive unit, for superior control and functionality. In addition, you will also be able to see the RF 85 mm f/1,4L VCM, a professional lens designed for portraits, weddings and low-light scenes, which extends the fixed focal range of the hybrid RF series and offers great brightness and sharpness for creative photographers and filmmakers.

These new features will share space with other key equipment of the EOS Cinema System, such as the cameras EOS C80 y EOS C400, designed for fiction, documentary, live productions and virtual environments, as well as the range of CN-R fixed focal lenses, designed to meet the requirements of productions in 4K, 8K y HDR.

During the fair, the Canon stand will also have the presence of the colorist Sergio Porras, from Moon Light color studio. Visitors will be able to bring their memory cards to show their material, answer their questions about color and receive advice to get the most out of their teams. Additionally, attendees will be able to visit the exhibition of photographer Ximo Fernández, a visual testimony of the mark left by the DANA of Valencia in 2024.

Canon's participation in MicroSalón AEC 2025 is completed with the talk of filmmaker Marcel Mettelsiefen, who will share 25 years of experience counting stories in conflict zones. From his beginnings as a photojournalist to his work as a documentary director, Mettelsiefen will explain how his way of filming has translated into projects such as Watani: My Homeland, nominated for an Oscar, and his most recent works. The presentation will seek to provide a practical and ethical perspective of interest to cinematographers, documentary filmmakers and film crews.
