Riyadh welcomes the new year with a UHD blockbuster from Gravity Media
Gravity Media has provided comprehensive technological support for the New Year's Eve concert at Riyadh's New Eve Boulevard E-Game Square, a world-class UHD live production that has been seen across the Middle East.
Driven by Premium Projects (Germany) for Ad Dimension, a subsidiary of Jeddah-based public relations and event management company Benchmark, the concert featured a 60-piece orchestra together with the renowned Egyptian artist Angham Mohamed Ali Suleiman, with a special performance by global superstar Toni Braxton. Broadcast live in format UHD, the event aired on MBC and in more than 10 digital channels in the region, attracting million viewers as part of Saudi Arabia's famous New Year celebrations.
Gravity Media participated in the production by deploying his Noval 101 mobile unit, which offered a multi-camera setup that included 23 cameras, with the Sony HDC-3500 as main camera system. The production also incorporated a wide range of specialized cameras and robotics to capture dynamic angles, including robotics I act (Motion Impossible) y Fury (Egripment); cameras Sony FX3 y P50; automatic pods Sony FR7; special camera and accessories like LUNA, Jimmy Jib, Steadicam or mini cameras Marshall, y drones.
A technical team of Gravity Media formed by 20 personas lent its support to the broadcast, working closely with the international production team to ensure the correct execution of the format both in the live broadcast and on digital platforms. Eamonn Dowdall, director of business development for Gravity Media for the Middle East, believes that this project demonstrates the company's “experience” in the most demanding broadcasts. “Our team took advantage of the full capabilities of our NOVA 101 outdoor broadcast truck and our specialized camera systems to capture every moment with precision and creativity, ensuring that viewers experienced the energy and excitement of the performance as if they were in the stadium,” he emphasizes.
