The Caballero and Marc Giró brothers, awarded the Iris Specialized Press Awards 2025

The “extraordinary capacity to revolutionize their respective genres with acuity, mastery and ingenuity” has led the jury of the Iris Awards of the Specialized Press 2025 (Television Academy) to grant their recognition ex aequo to the presenter Marc Giró and the creators Alberto and Laura Caballero.

In its deliberation, the jury wanted to emphasize Marc Giró that “With a unique, creative and irreverent style, he has known how to create spectacle and humor while remaining true to himself, breaking taboos, with a language committed to social diversity and new times.” Likewise, of Alberto and Laura Caballero, have highlighted "a career of more than 20 years as creators of successful fiction series. Absolute references of national comedy who have known how to evolve and inspire inside and outside Spain. Architects of laughter and wit, who have managed to reach an intergenerational audience with their characters and situations without fear of the limits of humor."

The jury for this edition was made up of: Borja Teran (Henneo Media and Julia on the Wave), Mariola Cubells (String Being), Sergio LOpez Martin (The Plural), Israel Alvarez (20 Minutes), Laura P.andrez (Vertele), Handctor Alabadi (FormulaTV), Natalia Marcos (The Country), David Size (El Economista/Informalia), Berto Molina (The Confidential), Araceli Manzanares (Pronto), Irene Jimandnez (Audiovisual 451), Marco Almodovar (Bluper), Alicia Mingo (Freelance), Patricia Navarro (The reason), Esther Mucientes (The World), Yearso Ponce (Freelance), Fran Gallardo (Joly Group), Ricky Garcia (YoTele/El Periódico), Sofia Olmos (Europa Press) y Sergio Espí (OkDiario). In addition, it has had the participation of the vice president of the Television Academy, Beatriz Maesso, representing the Board of Directors.
