Bamboo Productions Filming of a fiction miniseries for Netflix inspired by the case of Marta del Castillo will soon begin in Seville.

Produced by Bambú Producciones (The Asunta case), in collaboration with The Clapperboard PC and with the support of Marta del Castillo's family, the miniseries (still untitled) adapts into fiction the case that shocked Spanish society in 2009.

On January 24 of that year, the young woman from Seville disappeared after leaving her house and never returning. Her ex-boyfriend, Miguel Carcaño, confessed to the crime, although he changed his version on numerous occasions. The victim's body was never found, despite extensive search efforts. In 2012, Carcaño was sentenced to 21 years and 3 months in prison for murder, while others involved were acquitted or convicted of lesser crimes. This case had an enormous social and judicial impact in Spain.

Led by screenwriter and producer Ramón Campos, Bambú has produced, in addition to fiction series such as Gran Hotel, Farina o The cable girls, documentary series of events such as The Alcasser case, The Asunta case o How to hunt a monster.
