Foundry - Nuke 17

Nuke version 17.0, defined by itself Foundry As one of the “most significant” evolutions of the toolset, it will allow creatives to import, view, manipulate, render and export Gaussian Splats, opening up new environment workflows for set extensions, and providing greater flexibility for element integration.

As explained John Salazar, creative director of visual effects and animation at Foundry, highlights that the new version of Nuke “looks to the future” thanks to the integration of the demanded solutions for Gaussian Splats y Fields Nodes. "These new workflows are changing the game on set and in post-production. We can't wait to see what you do with Nuke 17.0!"

The new version of the system stands out for releasing a new USD based 3D system, which empowers artists' creative control with “non-destructive” workflows to deliver detailed projections, realistic lighting and rendering. It also expands the compatible materials and shaders, which can be imported from other software, as well as speeds up the management of masks and routes with a more precise selection.

Other keys to the latest version of Nuke are a renewed annotation system with more intuitive drawing tools; new customization options, marked by the Graph Score Variable system; the new BigCat node, which enables large-scale data set training; improvements in the core, with faster scaling and optimized composite rendering; expanded compatibilities with library updates USD 25.08, VFX Reference Platform 2025 and more, and new field nodes (field nodes), a new system that offers the possibility of masking and non-destructively manipulating 3D data, including Gaussian Splats.

Nuke 17.0 is now available for customers with an active subscription.
