The future of cinematographic technique, under debate at La Villa del Mar at the Malaga Festival

From March 7 to 13, the La Villa del Mar space in Malaga Festival, located in La Malagueta, will host workshops, conferences, meetings and talks to show the new audiovisual languages ​​and the technology that makes them possible.

This forum about creation, innovation and knowledge You will begin by reflecting on the past to understand the present. During the first weekend, a set of recreational activities will take place that cover the history of Spanish cinema through a trivia, inviting attendees on a journey through time: from the first milestones of interactive entertainment, the video games that marked previous generations, to the most original immersive experiences. In addition, a workshop will be held that invites creativity to be unleashed, allowing participants to design and give life to new manga and comic characters.

The offer will continue during the week with a comprehensive vision of the life cycle of the content. The area IP development will articulate a program of workshops conceived from the transversality of formats, understood as a natural expansion of the audiovisual language. This axis will put feature films and short films in dialogue with video games, extended reality proposals, mappings and immersive installations, configuring a narrative ecosystem that transcends the traditional limits of the screen.

Smart Production se adentrará en las tecnologías que están transformando los procesos creativos, con sesiones centradas en la adaptación a nuevos formatos, la captura volumétrica de movimiento y la inteligencia artificial. En este marco, Google y Freepik ofrecerán talleres y mesas redondas mostrando cómo sus herramientas acompañan a los creadores desde los primeros pasos hasta el producto final. Además, bajo la denominación Distribución y Audiencias, se ofrecerán talleres sobre los nuevos hábitos de consumo en formato vertical y la adaptación de la distribución a la lógica del smartphone; así como charlas centradas en experiencias inmersivas que profundizan en la experiencia del espectador.

La programación se completará con la tercera edición de Brand Entertainment Marketing, una jornada que tendrá lugar el 12 de marzo que centrará el debate en el presente del sector y en la relevancia de las nuevas tendencias, y una mirada al Festival de Málaga de 2030, a través de mesas redondas que explorarán el futuro de la industria y un workshop dedicado a las nuevas posibilidades narrativas que ofrecen las lentes de 65mm.
