Røde expands its ecosystem for creators with the new RødeCaster Video Core
The Australian company Red develops the new RødeCaster Video Core, a new compact audiovisual production console that expands its ecosystem of tools for content creators. Along with this new hardware, the brand introduces RødeCaster Sync, an innovative integration feature that allows you to connect the console with the RødeCaster Pro II and RødeCaster Duo audio interfaces, creating a fully unified production environment for audio and video.
The announcement comes a few months after the launch of the RødeCaster Video S, presented in November of last year, and reinforces the company's strategy of offering all-in-one solutions for podcasters, streamers and digital creators. The new Video Core is designed especially for those working with video streams. Modular or software-based work, providing a flexible platform that allows you to produce professional-quality content in video podcasts, live broadcasts or studio productions.
Despite its compact format, the RedCaster Video Core integrates the same pocta-core video and audio processor high performance present in the flagship model of the range, allowing you to smoothly manage switching, recording and streaming tasks. The device supports up to four simultaneous video sources y five customizable sceness, as well as including advanced tools such as transitions, graphic overlays and multi-camera compositions to achieve broadcast-quality results without the complexity of traditional professional systems.
In the connectivity section, the equipment has three Full HD HDMI inputs (1080p) with automatic frame rate conversion, a configurable HDMI output for monitoring or multiview, and two USB-C ports for connecting additional video or audio devices. It also offers network camera support via NDI, allowing up to four inputs over Ethernet, as well as integration with the free Røde Capture app for iOS, allowing you to use an iPhone as a dual-camera video source for live broadcasts.
The system also places special emphasis on sound quality, a key aspect within the RødeCaster ecosystem. The Video Core incorporates two Neutrik combo connectors con preamplificadores Revolution Preamps, capable of capturing audio from XLR microphones, instruments or line signals with ultra-low noise and high gain. Added to this is the APHEX audio processing, which includes equalizer, compressor, noise gate, high-pass filter and de-esser, in addition to the Aural Exciter, Big Bottom and Compellor effects, widely used in professional productions.
Connection with RødeCaster consoles
