“Make and monetize”: the philosophy of Imagine Communications at NAB 2026
Software-based solutions enabled for IP and cloud flows such as Prismon, SNP-XS, XVR and OSI–X represent the “make and monetize” philosophy, with which Imagine Communications prepares to convince attendees NAB 2026 (April 19 – 22, Las Vegas).
The latest addition to Imagine's multiviewer portfolio, Prism, offers master and cloud control capabilities that complement the ultra-low latency production capabilities of the SNP Multiviewer. The tool, which can be deployed both on-premises and in the cloud, has a scalable and distributed architecture supports “thousands of signals on dozens of tiles” and consolidates SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6 y OTT in a unified monitoring environment.
On the other hand, Imagine Communications expands its line of red Selenio (SNP) with the SNP–XS, delivering ultra-quiet operation and high-performance processing in a compact form factor. Based on the same architecture as the flagship SNP platform, it supports SMPTE ST 2110 and ST 2022–6 IP standards, while maintaining interoperability with SDI-based workflows. The development offers configurations of E/S flexibles y runs all 16 current SNP applications right out of the box, including UHD and HDR conversion, multiviewers, master control and JPEG XS.
XVR and OSI-X, at NAB 2026
Los XVR emission engines, recently released by Imagine, are aimed at environments of unified ingestion, emission and origination of any scale, especially in SMPTE ST 2110 or cloud-hosted scenarios. These solutions are based on technologies Linux and data centers, enabling “fast, repeatable and secure” deployment with “flexible pricing,” including usage-based subscriptions.
Compatible con SDI, 12G SDI, ST 2110, TS y SRT, XVR natively plays all major industry formats (XAVC, ProRes, DNxHD…) eliminating the most common inconveniences of transcoding processes. XVR is also presented as one of the first broadcast engines to take advantage of the network adapter Intel Ethernet E810 con Intel Tiber Broadcast Suite components, delivering robust ST 2110 performance on all COTS platforms.
Imagine Communications' proposals for NAB 2026 are completed with the latest version of Imagine's OSI traffic and billing system: OSI–X. The solution is based on a browser-based user interface and a cloud native architecture, which provides an “optimized and intuitive” user experience.
The platform promotes security with a single sign-on SAML-compliant, providing a secure, scalable environment for managing increasingly complex ad operations across workflows. linear, streaming and CTV work. With its redesigned interface and support for standards TV Interface Practices (TIP), OSI–X allows broadcasters to “operate more efficiently, modernize at their own pace and simplify the purchase of television advertising.”
Steve Reynolds, executive director of Imagine Communications, summarizes the company's philosophy ahead of the upcoming Las Vegas event: "The media doesn't come to NAB for a product demo, but for answers. They face fragmented audiences, hybrid workflows, multi-site operations, and the transition to IP and the cloud. That's why we lead with solutions, not product benchmarks, and focus the conversation on results. Our new products are part of that story: practical, goal-oriented innovations that help our clients to optimize their workflows and strengthen their business models.”
