Blanca Aysa

In recognition of 25 years connecting talent and production, RNE awards the Sant Jordi Cinematography Prize to Blanca Aysa, founder and director of the company Plan B, the first representation agency for cinematographers in Spain.

Blanca Aysa has contributed to placing photography direction in its rightful place in the industry: an essential area in the construction of the visual story, but often far from the media spotlight.

Since the creation of its agency in 2001 (the first specialized in this field in Spain), Aysa has promoted a pioneering model that has helped professionalize the sector and project its representatives internationally. Today, Plan B works with a selection of cinematographers from around the world and acts as a link between talent and production.

Its route does not respond to a usual pattern. Before founding Plan B, she worked as a flight attendant at British Airways, at the Montmeló MotoGP Grand Prix with the RACC and with Javier Mariscal for six years. His training period at the RIA Images Agency in Los Angeles was key to understanding the sector and laying the foundations for his project.

The Industry Award is added to the list of winners of the 2026 Sant Jordi Awards edition. The professional jury has awarded the award for the best Spanish film in 'Los Domingos', by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, and the best foreign production in Chuck's lifeby Mike Flanagan. In the interpretive field, Nora Navas, Álvaro Cervantes, Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård have been recognized. The award for best debut film went to Deaf, by Eva Libertad, also participated by RTVE.

Regarding the public vote (Las Roses de Sant Jordi), the recognitions have gone to Dinner y Flow, as best Spanish and international film, respectively. The awards will be presented on April 21 at the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona, in a very special gala that will commemorate the 70 years of history of the RNE Sant Jordi Cinematography Awards.
