'The idiots' dinner': RTVE is committed to dialogue in the face of polarization in prime time

Gonzalo Miró takes charge of 'The Dinner of Idiots', a format of Proamagna for prime time RTVE which every week will bring together diners “well-known” by the public to talk in a relaxed way about a current topic or an important event.

The idiots' dinner was born in order to demonstrate that it is possible to sit down to dinner with people who think differently. In this way, each dinner will become a “big event” linked to a current moment. In the words of RTVE: "The philosophy of this new project is based on a simple idea: it is not idiotic - or deluded - to think that around a dinner you can talk and debate without shouting, even if we are different."

The program will be developed in a casa and the main sequence will take place in a dining room with a large table which will be the absolute protagonist of the scenography. In it will project the great audiovisual archive of TVE, which will enrich each of the topics. The kitchen will also be the setting for the moments before and after dinner, where intimate and parallel conversations will take place between Miró and his guests.
