Grass Valley traduce el broadcast al ProAV con AMPP Edge Live
Grass Valley will be introduced within the framework of InfoComm 2026 (June 17-19, Las Vegas) its new AMPP Edge Live production platform, a combination of hardware with software-defined production tools that seeks to simplify the production chain of corporate, educational and public administration industries, which consolidate divisions dedicated to audiovisual production in their infrastructure.
The teams from the sectors of the education, the public administration, las corporate communications, places of worship, live events and audiovisual production are under increasing pressure to create video content for their audiences. As production demands grow, many organizations are being asked to do more with limited resources and small technical teams; however, according to Grass Valley, existing production systems They usually lack the necessary flexibility to support new workflows without significant additional investment.
AMPP Edge Live addresses this challenge by providing a flexible production base designed to grow at the pace of the organization's needs. By combining the hardware of Grass Valley, GPU acceleration of NVIDIA Blackwell and the AMPP operating system in a single solution, the platform allows organizations implement the capabilities they need with the freedom of extend, reuse and scale services as your requirements change.
In this way, instead of investing in independent systems to future production needs, organizations can build around a common production platform that evolves through software. Jonathan Lyth, product manager at Enterprise media of Grass Valley, considers that with this solution they respond to the main needs of these verticals: "Enterprises need production platforms that combine operational agility with the confidence of reliable performance. AMPP Edge Live delivers both, allowing organizations to adapt and scale production capabilities without adding operational complexity."
Two AMPP Edge Live models and unified management
The solution is available at two versions aimed at satisfying different production demands. AMPP Edge Live 4000, aimed at live event production, offers the performance needed to run solutions like Event Producer X, which integrates production switching, graphics, audio mixing, recording, streaming, monitoring and production control into a single browser-based interface.
On the other hand, AMPP Edge Live 6000 adds processing performance for more demanding production requirements and supports Sport Producer X, which combines switching, graphics, scoreboard, timing, data integration and instant replay for sports production. In both models, the proposal is based on a 4 RU chassis reduced depth with redundant power and modular AMPP I/O cards, including enterprise-grade security, centralized management and role-based access controls.
Beyond flexibility, AMPP Edge Live comes to simplify lifecycle management through a unified ownership model. Grass Valley designs, validates and supports the tool completely, managing hardware validation, software compatibility, updates and support through a single point of responsibility. This eliminates, the company explains, much of the Integration burden associated with multi-vendor environments.
AMPP Edge Live is now available on appliance models L4000 y L6000, with AMPP SDI 8 and SDI 12 I/O card options and 2TB or 4TB media storage options.
