Orad 3DWeather: end-to-end graphical solution
It supports the representation of any type of information, including conventional meteorological data such as satellite or radar images, isothermal, pressure and precipitation images, and synoptic information.
Orad Hi-Tec Systems is achieving significant success with its 3DWeather solution, its turnkey system for real-time HD/SD weather forecast graphics. Apart from supporting the representation of any type of information, including conventional meteorological data such as satellite or radar images, isothermal, pressure and precipitation images, and synoptic information, the most notable thing is perhaps its surprising “flights” over geographical areas. All representations can be presented in 2D and 3D maps in real time.
The easy-to-use, template-based system allows journalists to update their real-time weather representations on the fly with data from leading weather information and map providers such as MapCube and CustomWeather.
Among 3DWeather's recent installations is RTBF in Belgium, whose weather program has undergone a profound transformation throughout this year. Jean-Charles Beaubois, director of meteorology at RTBF, noted that thanks to Orad, "we now offer a more dynamic and concise forecast, with features such as alerts and indices. Relying on 3DWeather and its real-time graphic capabilities, RTBF is more reactive. To complement the network's weather program, the viewer can watch a 3D flight over Europe and the Middle East on RTBF's satellite channels."
