Interactive displays with Interact, a joint solution from Orad and Barco

Orad mostrará la solución de interactividad para pantallas de cualquier formato y resolución, con videowall 3×2 de Barco, en Broadcast 2009. El nuevo sistema permite introducir gráficos 2D/3D interactivos tanto en estudio convencional como virtual.

During Broadcast'09 Orad will show at its stand the new Interact system, a solution developed in collaboration with Barco that allows converting a video wall of any size (in 3×2 modules) into an interactive screen by introducing interactive graphics in both conventional and virtual studios. During the International Professional Audiovisual Technology Show, Orad's Interact system will be shown on a spectacular Barco video wall, model OV-508 composed of 3×2 cubes and an IR frame from Smart Technologies.

Esta solución, que soporta resoluciones SD/HD y hasta 4K, está pensada para estudios convencionales como virtuales, permitiendo a los presentadores o actores interactuar con los gráficos, activando y desactivando botones, escenas, y videos, y compartiendo la acción y control del programa. El corazón del sistema se basa en herramientas y flujos de trabajo existentes en Orad como 3Designer para diseño y 3DPlay para control. Es de destacar también que soporta tanto dispositivos táctiles como videowalls con marco de infrarojos. Al trabajar en un entorno virtual, la pantalla táctil puede recortarse en el chroma integrándose como parte del set. Otras funciones a reseñar es el soporte para dual y multi-táctil así como para inercias, algo muy útil para aceleración de objetos.

Integration with 3DPlay and HDVG

Interact se integra con el controlador 3DPlay y HDVG de Orad simplificando así al máximo la operativa. Permite, igualmente, crear controladores sofisticados sin la necesidad de programadores. Tanto el presentador con el dispositivo táctil, como el operador, pueden accionar los gráficos y animaciones. Una ventaja del sistema es que pueden utilizarse los mismos gráficos en tiempo real 2D y 3D que utiliza habitualmente la cadena para mediante 3Designer dotarlas de interactividad e integrarlas en la emisión. HDVG permite a su vez render en tiempo real junto con entradas de vídeo y clips en las escenas gráficas interactivas. En cuanto a seguridad, reseñar que se basa sobre Linux, y cuenta con fuente alimentación y discos sistema redundantes, chasis 3U resistente, hasta 12 entradas SD o 6 HD…

Videowall Barco

Orad has chosen Barco to offer this solution to the market because it has video walls that ensure uniform colors and brightness over time and across the entire screen. Barco's OVTS-50 touchscreen systems feature high-precision touchscreen technology from Smart Technologies that enables intuitive fingertip interaction with content on the large format video wall. The technology is an add-on product integrated into the bottom of the video wall screen.
